Welcome to tumblr!

After already discovering tumblr a few weeks ago, I have finally bowed to its awesome procrastination power and got a tumblr blog, too. I had already collected a few pictures on my computer and just uploaded them but that means of course that they are not connected to their original owners anymore- they are just to show you some stuff I like! So here's an official apology to people who posted them first and a promise to do it properly in the future!

This is the link for your pleasure.

Nano Stats

If you have not yet had a look at my NaNo page, this is what I have been busy with in the last 10 days:

'This is the story of Rose and all of the sexual firsts in her life. Growing up in a small town in Devon, England, she discovers sex at 16 and doesn't look back. Moving from her first kiss through BDSM and other fantasies, we follow her life as it unfolds through the power of her senses.'

Have a look at my NaNo chapters so far:

In the beginning, I had planned to write 1,6k on each chapter to have one chapter a day, but somehow it's not really turning out that way! I still haven't finished chapter 5 (mainly concerned with the new boyfriend going down on our heroine!) and I have got the feeling that the next one is going to be even longer.

On the topic, here is my NaNo word graph until now:

I have been going pretty steadily and I am pretty proud that I have been able to keep it up every day :-) Fingers crossed it's going to continue that way!

Which female author are you?

I just took the Which Female Author are You? quiz here and had to laugh out loud when this came up:

'You are most like Margarat Mitchell.
You are still bemused about how you ended up in this competitive society where you always need to be stronger, slimmer, more successful. You feel that you need to rediscover your center that would allow you to remember what you are and why you are perfect the way you are. And don’t fret if you have to withdraw from society for a while – you won’t be forgotten! There is no better way to generate gossip than to give no reason for it. In any case you are too smart and too diligent to need to compete. Your special skill is research. If you can collect the right data you can generate scandal, doctoral thesis or bestseller depending on your needs. You would, too, but love interferes.  And when the ‘bad boy’ with a terrible reputation and scandalous demeanor swings your way, the instinct to reform him takes over. At the same time you are not likely to lose yourself. Allure is an instinct with you and, spiked up with a healthy dose of attitude, you can pull off just about anything!'

I'd say that is a pretty accurate result for a PhD student!
